Through The Generations

Sometimes you come across the most interesting things when you look back at old photos – especially the ones you forgot you had.  The other day when visiting my mother she presented me with a BW photo of her and his siblings.  While the photo itself was interesting for many reasons, the only thing I saw when looking at the photo was the face of my daugther Libby.  Staring back at me was Libby’s pretty face and eyes, but yet it wasn’t Libby.  The photo was of my mother when she was a child.  Needless to say it was an amazing likeness that was hard to believe at first.

This is the power of photos.  They allows us to capture memories in the moment and preserve them for future generations to enjoy.  And in this case we’ve all enjoyed looking back at how things were different yet some how, through the generations, remain the same.
